KICC 10th Anniversary Symposium

The Kavli Institute for Cosmology, Cambridge will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a symposium entitled "Cosmology: the end of the beginning. Future prospects in cosmology, large scale structure and galaxy formation," to be held from 16 to 20 September 2019.

The Kavli Institute brings together scientists from DAMTP (including the CTC), the Institute of Astronomy and the Cavendish Laboratory. It was founded to create a single site at which the University's cosmologists and astrophysicsts from different departments could share knowledge and work together on major projects.

The Institute started operations in 2008 and offers scientists the benefit of close interaction as well as advanced technologies, including access to giant telescopes and space satellites. It also runs a fellowship programme, hosting promising scholars from around the globe for stays of up to five years. They are free to pursue their own independent research as well as taking part in the world-class flagship projects led by distinguished Cambridge scientists.
